How to treat bronchitis with essential oils?

You cough, you have a sore throat, your bronchi are congested, are you tired? Essential oils are your go-to ally for strengthening your body and fighting off the bronchitis that is wrecking you!

Why Use Essential Oils to Fight Bronchitis?
To treat bronchitis, the mucus that blocks you must be thinned to restore breathing comfort and reduce coughing.

Therefore, essential oils with expectorant and mucolytic properties are essential. Their immune-stimulating, antiviral, and anti-infective properties will also help your body fight off the viruses and bacteria that cause bronchitis. Add to that the anti-inflammatory properties of essential oils, and you’ll say goodbye to bronchitis, naturally!

3 Essential Oils to Fight Bronchitis
Eucalyptus radiata, expectorant and mucolytic
Expectorant and mucolytic, Eucalyptus essential oil thins mucus and facilitates its expulsion, allowing you to breathe easier. Anti-inflammatory, it suppresses the inflammation that causes bronchitis and at the same time helps the body fight external aggressions thanks to its immunostimulatory properties.

To use: Pour 1 drop of eucalyptus essential oil into 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Massage the chest 2 to 3 times a day for up to 7 days.

Precautions: Skin test before use – Do not apply to skin – Not suitable for pregnant women under 3 months, children under 3 months, and people with asthma or epilepsy.

Note: Essential oil of eucalyptus globules can also help with bronchitis. But beware of stricter usage precautions than its cousin eucalyptus radiata. Use with caution.

Ravintsara, an immune booster
This “tree with good leaves” from Madagascar provides us with essential oils essential to our home aroma arsenal. Its essential oil has expectorant and mucolytic properties (thanks to 1.8 cineole molecules), which unclog blocked airways. ravintsara essential oil is antiviral and immunostimulatory, strengthening our body’s ability to fight off viruses and bacteria that weaken us.

To use: Pour 1 drop of ravintsara essential oil into 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Massage the chest 2 to 3 times a day for up to 7 days.

Precautions: Skin test before use – not suitable for pregnant women under 3 months, children under 3 months, people with asthma or epilepsy, and people who are taking medication (risk of interference).

Beautiful flowers and birds, anti-virus
Next to the eucalyptus are the leaves of the peanut plant, not its flowers, which provide the essential oil. Indispensable for congested bronchi, Peanut Botanical Oil has expectorant and mucolytic properties that draw out mucus that clogs the airways. Anti-virus, anti-infection, peanut essential oil fights pathogens, making your illness just a bad memory!

To use: Pour 1 drop of Green Peanut Essential Oil into 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Massage the chest 2 to 3 times a day for up to 7 days.

Precautions: skin test before use – do not apply on skin – not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 3 years, subjects with hormone-dependent disorders, whether cancerous, epilepsy or asthmatics – risky drug interference.
