10 Natural Solutions to Fight Nausea

Nausea is characterized by the urge to vomit, which may be followed by vomiting. They are most commonly caused by overeating, motion sickness, pregnancy or even liver congestion.

ginger

Ginger is known for its anti-nausea properties. Therefore, it is recommended to use in case of motion sickness or pregnancy. It is eaten in soaked form and added to dishes or juices when fresh. Its lemon flavor is pleasant in the mouth.

lemon

Lemon stimulates the liver and pancreatic enzymes. It is eaten in the form of juice diluted with water, cold or hot, or in the form of essential oil with two drops on a bar of sugar. Oral use of essential oils should be avoided throughout pregnancy (unless advised by a doctor), with the exception of lemon essential oil, which makes it an ideal substitute for medication.

Homeopathy

Nausea can be overcome with homeopathy. In case of nausea and vomiting, it is recommended to use Squid 9 CH at the rate of 3 granules, 3 times a day. Cocculus indicus 9 CH is more appropriate if nausea is aggravated by the sight or smell of food. Finally, Nychnium is a homeopathic medicine for digestive disorders, especially in cases of abdominal pain and nausea: the recommended dose is 9 CH, 5 capsules every 2 hours.

Shiatsu wrist strap

The effectiveness of shiatsu bracelets is based on a traditional Chinese method: acupressure. They apply constant pressure to the P6 (or Neiguan) point of each wrist. Pressing this point has been proven to relieve pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting.

Mint

Peppermint is a plant with antispasmodic and choleretic properties. It is especially good against nausea caused by motion sickness or digestive difficulties. It is consumed at the rate of sugar drops in the form of infusions or essential oils.

Certain foods can increase nausea, usually those with strong or spicy flavors. On the other hand, other foods can soothe them: Bananas, applesauce, rice, or toast are top choices for preventing nausea.

good posture

To avoid aggravating nausea, it is necessary to adopt good posture so as not to put pressure on the stomach. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a straight posture that promotes digestion and avoids learning forward. Similarly, to avoid moving too fast and too many times, it is best to keep lying flat or sitting comfortably.

rosemary

Nausea can come from a congested liver that is hard to expel. To help it, rosemary, which has choleretic and hepatoprotective properties, is ideal. It is combined with lemon balm, mint, thyme and even artichoke in the form of herbal tea.

Phototherapy

Although not scientifically proven, some stones can relieve nausea. Citrine is a mineral stone that helps digestion and cleanses the stomach. Therefore, it mainly acts on nausea and vomiting. As a second option, chalcedony, green fluorite, obsidian, tiger’s eye or sapphire can also be used.

baking soda

Baking soda can relieve nausea. Just put a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and drink the resulting solution. However, this natural remedy is not recommended for pregnant women.
