Plaguing any parent during the school day with lice that have you spending hours in the bathroom checking your child’s head? How to prevent their appearance and get rid of them naturally? Discover the amazing benefits of essential oils for lice.
Why use essential oils for lice?
Essential oils are powerful against lice. Contrary to what people think, it’s not the smell of the essential oil that makes them flee, but the latter’s contact with the lice. This is how essential oils eliminate and prevent lice from multiplying.
3 Essential Oils to Fight Lice
Tea tree, anti-lice essential oils
Tea tree, also called tea tree, is native to Australia. Its essential oils actively fight lice… make them a bad memory! Tea tree essential oil has antiparasitic and anthelmintic properties due to its composition of alcohol molecules and monoterpene carbides.
Use in Treatment: Add 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil to a regular shampoo. Go wash your hair. Finish with a scented hair brush with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil. Do this on 2 consecutive days, then 8 and 15 days later.
Preventive Use: Pour 1 drop of pure tea tree essential oil on hair ties, bandanas and hats.
Precautions: Skin test before use – Not suitable for pregnant women under 3 months, children under 3 months, subjects with cancer or non-cancer hormone-dependent diseases, epilepsy patients.
Lavender, Anti Lice Reference
Lavender is a natural hybrid of Aspic Lavender and Premium Lavender that grows at lower altitudes. Thanks to the linalool content, lavender essential oil has antiparasitic and insect repellent properties. It is effective against lice, which stop breeding on contact.
For Treatment: Add 2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to a regular shampoo. Go wash your hair. Do this by styling with a scented hair brush with 2 drops of lavender essential oil. Do this on 2 consecutive days, then 8 and 15 days later.

Premium lavender, great for lice control
Fleur de Provence, premium lavender grows at higher altitudes (1000 to 1200 meters above sea level) than its sister lavender. An excellent pest and insect repellent due to the monoterpene alcohols that make it up, premium lavender essential oil is a good alternative to lavender and is equally effective against lice.
To use in treatments: Add 2 drops of refined lavender essential oil to a regular shampoo. Go wash your hair. To complete the action, style with a brush pre-scented with 2 drops of Premium Lavender Essential Oil. Do this on 2 consecutive days, then 8 and 15 days later.
