my natural first aid kit

The power of plants has been known and used for thousands of years. Today, treating yourself with plants has become very easy thanks to the many natural remedies available in pharmacies and drugstores. Here’s a great addition to your natural medicine kit.

Natural Remedies for Everyday Ailments
Strikes or minor injuries happen quickly every day. Bumping into furniture, falling down stairs, getting burned by too hot dishes, getting sunburned…we’ve all been there. To heal these little everyday wounds, nature is full of treasures.

We’re thinking in particular of arnica, a plant often recommended for pain relief and to promote the absorption of bruises. Calendula is another plant that can be used to treat small sores. It is used on minor burns to promote healing.

Oily infusions, vegetable oils, essential oils… natural remedies can come in many forms. Here are some options to include in your natural medicine kit:

arnica oil maceration;
Oily calendula maceration;
Italian helichrysum essential oil;
laurel essential oil;
Premium lavender essential oil.

Treat Digestive Disorders Naturally
Stress in the digestive system is not uncommon. Bloating, stomach pain, constipation, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea… Digestive disorders can be very unpleasant every day. Fortunately, there are many natural solutions to relieve them.

Different essential oils can be used alone or synergistically in medicine for digestive disorders. However, vigilance is required. Pure essential oils should not be swallowed. They need support. For example: a spoonful of honey, a grain of sugar… It is also known that food supplements based on essential oils have also been developed.

Here is a selection of essential oils for digestive ailments:

Peppermint essential oil;
lemon essential oil;
ginger essential oil;
Basil essential oil;
Roman Chamomile essential oil.

Treating Respiratory Diseases with Plants
The respiratory system has to deal with multiple attacks every day. Sneezing, runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy nostrils, shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing…all of these symptoms could be a sign of an infection or allergy. To combat respiratory ailments, several plants can be of great help.

For example, we think of cajeput essential oil, which helps clear the airways, or even peanut oil, which has anti-infective properties. Some essential oils can only be diffused with specialized equipment. Other medications can also be applied to a handkerchief and inhaled.

Here is a selection of essential oils for respiratory relief:

Flower and bird essential oil;
Eucalyptus radiata essential oil;
Ravintsara essential oil;
Tea tree oil.

Prevent or Naturally Relieve Insect Bites
Spiders, bees, wasps, mosquitoes… these are small animals that are afraid of biting. They are especially feared in the summer, although bites can occur at other times of the year as well. So, you might as well be well-prepared to avoid them or get relief from them quickly.

We are no longer showcasing Lemongrass Essential Oil and its powerful mosquito repelling properties. In the case of a bite, Spike Lavender essential oil is ideal for itching relief. In general, it is recommended to dilute essential oils before applying them to the skin.

Here are a selection of essential oils to take with you on the go:

Spike lavender essential oil;
Lemongrass essential oil;
lemon eucalyptus essential oil;
Bourbon geranium essential oil;
Patchouli essential oil.
