Note that some essential oils should not be used during pregnancy. Seek expert advice before consuming or applying essential oils.
Add 1 drop of Lemon EO (Citrus Lemon) to half a liter of water and sip throughout the day. Shake well before drinking or add 1 drop of honey to hot water and drink 2-3 times a day.
Chamomile or orange blossom flower water or hydrosol. Dissolve 1 tablespoon* in 1 liter of water and drink throughout the day.
Clay: Pour 1 teaspoon of white clay powder into a glass of water, stir well, and swallow with a small mouthful. This preparation reduces and eliminates current nausea within 5 to 10 minutes of ingestion.
Homeopathy: Ipeca 5CH and Nux Vomica 5CH, 2 capsules 3 times a day until nausea disappears.
Massage: Apply 1 drop of Chamomile EO, 1 drop of Ginger EO and 2 drops of Hazelnut EO*. Apply to the solar plexus as needed.
Put 2 drops of ginger essential oil on a handkerchief, pillow or clothing to prevent nausea.
Marine magnesium taken with meals can reduce the intensity of nausea symptoms by changing the terrain. Probiotics are also known to be effective against pregnancy nausea.
Some people also find relief with several acupuncture treatments.
Dr. Baudoux recommends the following essential oils: Peppermint, Tarragon, Witch Hazel, Ess Lemon (z) diluted with Hazelnut or Almond HV for plexus massage. Peppermint (mentha x piperita), on the other hand, is strictly contraindicated for pregnant women. In any case, take your pharmacist’s advice.
