white vinegar
White vinegar, or crystallized alcohol vinegar, is known for its descaling properties; household appliances such as coffee machines, kettles or irons are thus restored to like-new condition. It is very effective in descaling toilets and taps. It also helps eliminate unpleasant odors from refrigerators, ovens, and trash cans.
Here’s a vinegar-based recipe for a multi-surface cleaner:
1.5 liters of hot water
1 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp. tbsp (= tbsp) lemon juice
2 tbsp. tablespoon (= table) of baking soda.

Lemons are an ecological ally for cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and toilets; lime stains on sinks or bathtubs disappear when wiped with a lime grout. It works better with white vinegar. It also helps decrease the microwave; put half a lemon in a bowl of water and put everything in the microwave to boil. Let it cool, remove the bowl and wipe the inside of the oven, then rinse with a damp cloth. Finally, a mixture of half olive oil and half lemon helps remove dust from furniture; let sit and wipe with a soft cloth.
Black soap
Black soap is native to the Middle East and can be used in one machine. It is a stain remover that is applied directly to clothing before washing. Effective insecticide and antiseptics can also be used to clean windows without rinsing, degree ovens and range hoods. It “nourishes” tiles, linoleum, marble and slate. Thanks to the olive oil content, the black soap is also gentle on the cuticles of the hands.
Advice for preparing dishwashing liquid or all-purpose cleaner based on black soap:
To dilute – 1 cup of black soap (liquid) or 2 to 3 tablespoons (paste) per liter of water.
