How to take care of your hair in winter?

Winter is here and our hair is not so shiny! Hot, flat, too dry, too brittle or too greasy… if your hair is difficult to maintain, follow our advice!

In summer, hair is shinier, more voluminous and less oily. But in winter, hats are screwed on their heads, and the cold weather affects them. Here are some tips.

Why is my hair not so beautiful in winter?
The weather is cold and dry, with lower air humidity than sunny days. This is why hair is dry and brittle. But that’s not all! We wear beanies almost every day, which leads to greasy hair – so we wash it more often, which only makes the problem worse. Friction with the scarf makes them electrified! There is no doubt that all factors contribute to the unmanageable and darkening of our mop hair.

mild shampoo
Before suggesting anything else, do a little tidying up of your bathroom. All shampoos that contain sulfates should be removed as they can dry out and irritate the scalp. This works for all seasons! Then, try to space out how often you wash your hair. Shampooing twice a week is more than enough.

Washing your hair every day, with your scalp stripped, always produces more sebum to protect itself, and your hair gets greasy faster. Choose a mild shampoo and wash with warm water. Massage your scalp to stimulate blood circulation and, if you’re feeling brave, finish off with a cold water rinse! It will make your hair shine.

limit heating
In order to prevent the hair from being charged, it is our daily necessities in winter, so never dry it with a towel. This increases the friction between them, thus increasing the power. Comb them through with a wide-toothed comb, then pat dry with a microfiber towel. Avoid using blow dryers, straighteners, or curling irons as much as possible, as they can dry out hair and make it brittle and brittle.

moisturize hair
It is necessary to pamper the hair at all costs to restore its vitality, shine and strength. It’s no secret that hydration is a must for this; but not by any means. If you have dry hair, here’s the treatment you need: Once a week, after your mild shampoo, mix an egg yolk, half a tablespoon of avocado oil, a tablespoon of castor oil, and a teaspoon of honey. Leave on for half an hour to two hours for best results.

If you have oily hair, choose to do this treatment an hour before shampooing. Mix 20ml of pumpkin seed oil, 20ml of jojoba oil, 8ml of castor oil, 30 drops of ylang ylang essential oil, 20 drops of gnoli essential oil and 15 drops of vitamin E. Apply, massage lightly, and let sit.

don’t forget to comb your hair
It’s a habit our grandmothers cherished, morning or night, they never forget: brush your teeth! To distribute sebum from roots to ends, comb hair upside down and stand up morning and evening! You can also braid your hair at night to avoid friction with the pillow and static electricity.
